My submission for the poster exhibition.
"Our life hangs from a thin thread"

The poster refers to Ariadne's "mitus" and the Labyrinth that Daedalus had built after King Minos command, in order to imprison the Minotaur.
When Theseus arrived in Crete as a sacrifice in the Minotaur χε met Ariadne and won her favor. According to myth, they fell in love, and Ariadne made him promise to take her in Athens with him. Then she gave him the following trick, with the help of Daedalus: she gave him a tangle of thread to tie at the entrance of the labyrinth in order to be able to find the exit again after killing the Minotaur. And so it happened. On his flight from Crete, Theseus took Ariadne with him, while Daidalos was punished by King Minos. He was prisoned in the labyrinth, because he helped Ariadne and Theseus. But he had made him so elaborate and complex that he could not find the exit ...

(Το έργο αναφέρεται στο “μίτο της Αριάδνης” και στον Λαβύρινθο που είχε χτίσει ο Δαίδαλος κατ’ εντολή του βασιλιά Μίνωα, προκειμένου να φυλακίσει τον Μινώταυρο.
Όταν ο Θησέας έφτασε στην Κρήτη ως θυσία στο Μινώταυρο, αλλά με σκοπό να τον σκοτώσει, συνάντησε την Αριάδνη και κέρδισε την εύνοιά της. Σύμφωνα με το μύθο, ερωτεύτηκαν και η Αριάδνη τον έβαλε να υποσχεθεί ότι θα την έπαιρνε μαζί του στην Αθήνα. Τότε εκείνη του πρόσφερε το παρακάτω τέχνασμα, με τη βοήθεια του Δαίδαλου: του έδωσε ένα κουβάρι νήμα για να δέσει την άκρη του στην είσοδο του λαβύρινθου και να μπορέσει να βρει ξανά την έξοδο όταν σκοτώσει τον Μινώταυρο. Κι έτσι κι έγινε. Στη φυγή του από την Κρήτη, ο Θησέας πήρε μαζί του την Αριάδνη, ενώ ο Δαίδαλος τιμωρήθηκε από το βασιλιά Μίνωα με φυλάκιση στον λαβύρινθο, επειδή βοήθησε την Αριάδνη και τον Θησέα. Τον είχε κατασκευάσει όμως τόσο περίτεχνα και πολύπλοκα που δεν κατάφερε να βρει την έξοδο…)
